Are you sure you don’t mean Trump?

Melissa De Rosa, as I have already pointed out, recently revealed in a communication with fellow N.Y. Democrats that their leader, Andrew Cuomo, had lied repeatedly about the number of fatalities amongst the elderly in the State’s nursing homes as a result of his Covid strategy.

Ron Kim, Democratic member of the N.Y. State Assembly, shortly after receiving this distressing information, says he got a call from Cuomo in which the latter demanded he validate his lies, threatening to destroy his political career if he did not do so.

N. Y. Mayor Bill de Blasio, another Democrat, upon hearing Kim’s complaint, said “That’s nothing new,” maintaining that “bullying” had been a common tactic of the Governor throughout his term.

Not surprisingly, journalist Morgan Pehme has just revealed that in April of 2014, as he was working on an article on “public corruption” in N.Y. State, he received a call at 4 o’clock in the morning from the very same Melissa De Rosa who also threatened to destroy his career should he publish his article.

While I would never act upon sheer intuition, the first time I saw Cuomo speak I sensed he was an ignorant, arrogant simpleton. The last I checked, 14 members of his very own party had demanded his resignation.

Given that he has been the Governor of N.Y. since 2011 and that intimidation has always apparently been a part of his modus operandi, one is led to ask why the N.Y. Times had somehow managed to avoid this eminently obvious truth for nine years. If he had been a Republican would he not have been exposed some time ago? Indeed if his name was Donald Trump would not the papers of N.Y. State have been infested daily with evidence that he is an ignorant, arrogant effing [fill in the blank] of the very first order?
