Taking their cue from a picture of the individual responsible for the recent mass murder in Boulder, Colorado, many took to Twitter denouncing him as yet another example of White Supremacy run amok. But while the individual in question may have appeared to be White, Ahmad Al Alivi Alissa was in fact a Muslim born in Syria.
Upon learning of their mistake, many deleted their inaccurate Tweets. Yet many of the same remain online. In an interview with Newsweek, a representative of Twitter, which is apparently given to “fact checking” all of its content, was asked why descriptions of Alissa as a “white Christian terrorist” had not been censored. His mind-blowing response was that such statements did not actually violate Twitter’s misinformation criteria!
In the “woke,” delusional, utterly hypocritical world of Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, etc., any statement impugning the motives or behavior of the Left’s many entitled “marginalized” groups will be “fact checked” to death, while brazenly inaccurate depictions of the White Patriarchal Hegemony, “progressivism’s” designated source of all evil, do not apparently violate their misinformation laws!
In a recent video posted by Black “conservative” Joel Patrick, he declares that the Mar. 20 stabbing of a 12 year old White boy waiting in line at a Pittsburgh McDonald’s with his parents was a brazenly racist Hate Crime. The perpetrator, Black man Charles Edward Turner, with no provocation whatever, took a box cutter to the young boy’s neck. What concerned Patrick was that the vast majority of the accounts he investigated made no mention whatsoever of the possible racist motivation of the crime. It simply did not fit their narrative.
Orwell railed against the tendency of Fascists to manipulate the Truth to further their particular agenda. Ironically a product of his own Socialist world-view, this very cancer has metastasized throughout the mainstream media. Those whose vision of Reality is shaped there are living in a virtual Fantasy Land. Sean Hannity of Fox recently highlighted newscasters and commentators from other networks ranting as follows: that crime was not surging as a result of the de-fund the police movement, that cities like Portland were not verging on complete chaos as a result of the continuing protests [i.e., riots] of B.L.M., that the Hunter Biden scandal was utter nonsense, that anarchists were not tearing down the statues of America’s historical icons, and perhaps most ludicrous of all, that there was no “crisis” at the southern border!
Lies, lies and more lies, but all proffered with the self-righteousness of those arrogantly convinced that even their lies are somehow redeemed by their good intentions.
