Without Strict Voting Laws, Democracy is Dead

Month after month new reports are released suggesting widespread voting irregularities in the 2020 election. Of course the results of that vote are not about to be reversed nor, at this point, should they be. That the vast majority of those irregularities seem to have been driven by a psychotic loathing for Donald Trump is simply dismissed in the media as a silly aspect of that “conspiracy theory” hatched by the man himself. I understand partizan bias is strong on both sides, but is it possible every piece of anti-Trump electoral skullduggery discovered by investigators in state after state is nonsense? Or is that narrative just another example of the fanaticism that has come to pervade the Left? Here are a few things that have recently come to light.

On Feb. 19, Judicial Watch announced it had won its suit against the State of N. Carolina forcing the counties of Guilford and Mecklenburg to update their voting lists, an adjustment that led to the removal of over 430,000 names from those lists! There are strict government mandates pertaining to voter eligibility. Federal Law, for example, requires that an individual who fails to respond to a request for a confirmation of their place of residence and then fails to vote in two consecutive elections, be deemed ineligible until clarifying their situation. N. Carolina simply ignored such strictures thereby potentially opening the door to massive numbers of illegal ballots. To Democrats, of course, legal technicalities are a mere nuisance, often motivated by racism. For Republicans, however, they are essential to a functioning democracy, responsible citizens both Black and White being more than able to tell their government who and where they are.

In Wisconsin, Special Counsel Michael Gableman, appointed to investigate possible voter fraud within the state, found that 90 nursing homes housing over 92,000 elderly folks, had utterly ignored various regulations designed to assure voting integrity in such institutions. The Center for Tech and Civic Life [CTCL], described as a center-Left voter advocacy group, while apparently very active in Wisconsin, claimed Gableman’s accusations were utterly unfounded. He, on the other hand, said individuals barely capable of thought had been cajoled by their keepers to fill out their ballots in what was clearly a violation of the law. Given that Biden only carried the state by 20,000 votes, he actually suggested on Mar. 1 that the election result be decertified.

Mark Zuckerberg, ironically affiliated with Facebook which is supposed to be a platform devoid of political bias, is a radical Leftist who gave approximately 350 million dollars to the CTCL in 2020 in an effort to drag Biden to victory. The “Zuckerberg Five” were Wisconsin cities in which, according to his accusers, he apparently focused his efforts. But, the CTCL claimed, neither it nor he had done anything unethical. I am hardly qualified to comment. But what immediately came to mind in researching this issue was the 2016 book by Jane Mayer entitled “Dark Money.” In that work Mayer ranted on the threat to Democracy posed by the behind-the-scenes expenditures of the right-wing billionaire Koch brothers. It’s typical of the morass of bias through which we “conservatives” are constantly required to slog. When leftist Ideologues spend money behind the scenes, they do so in support of Democracy. When “conservatives” do the very same thing, they are [“dark money”] in league with Satan!

Given the absurdly hypocritical times in which we live, how is anyone to trust the information available on the legitimacy of the outcome of the 2020 election? What I can say with absolute certainty, however, is that if America’s Democracy is to survive, it must reject the asinine Leftist argument that attempts to fortify voter integrity are rooted in Racism, and, at all costs, insure that future elections are beyond dispute.
