In mid July Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser complained that the busloads of undocumented [i.e., illegal] immigrants being sent northward into her jurisdiction were creating chaos, their impact on already crowded homeless encampments being particularly dire. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has made no secret of the fact that he has dispatched several busloads to both D.C. and N.Y. in an effort to impress upon northern Liberals the real-world repercussions of their “compassionate” immigration agenda.
207 thousand illegals were caught trying to breach the Mexican/U.S. border in June, the most in all of U.S. history. Confronted with such facts, Biden invariably obfuscates [i.e., lies]. When Mayor Bowser, a staunch supporter of the asylum seekers, expressed her outrage at the impact they were having on her city, she was of course denounced by many as a brazen hypocrite. While one is reticent to use such a term on a woman whose heart is no doubt in the right place, one is absolutely justified in citing her as an example of the utter disconnect between the sentimental policies of the Left and their often horrid repercussions in the real world.
Try to legislate a regime of perfect “social equity” and you must inevitably violate the very personal freedoms America was designed to protect.
Try to compensate for past injustices against women, gays, etc., by denying the biological realities of the species and, surprise, surprise, you are still a purveyor of ignorance.
I could go on citing example after example of the disconnect between the sentimental Left and the Real World, but Mayor Bowser’s outrage over the results of a policy which she herself supported would seem to be a perfect example of that ideologically induced schizophrenia.
