As discussed by Dave Rubin in a recent podcast, Washington D. C. Council Member Brianne Nadeau is livid that the governors of both Texas and Arizona have seen fit to flood the streets of her city with illegal aliens. Washington, she says with obvious outrage, is now little better than a border town.
Nadeau is a Democrat who no doubt supports Biden’s “compassionate” open border policies. Yet as we have seen amongst other high-ranking Democrats [i.e., Kamala], she is not really interested in having the results of those policies land on her doorstep. Her disconnect from the real world impact of what is happening at the Mexican border is the disconnect from Reality that pervades the contemporary Left. When the officials and citizens of Texas and Arizona complain about what is happening in their States, they are inevitably denounced as racists by the “enlightened” curators of our “progressive” culture. But Nadeau’s complaints, apparently, are expressions of righteous moral indignation. Dealing rationally with people so consumed with hypocrisy is virtually impossible.
