Who will save us from our “intellectuals”?

Dr. Jenn Jackson is a professor of political science at Syracuse University. On her website she identifies herself as a queer, “genderflux,” androgynous Black woman, an “abolitionist” who loves all Black people. Obsessed with Identity, the moral status of people is apparently irrelevant to her.

Tired of hearing Whites comment about the element of fear which 9/11 had injected into their lives, she took to her Twitter account on Fri. Sept 10 with some comments of her own, comments dripping with loathing for her fellow White Americans.

The target of the terrorists on that fateful day, according to Jackson, were those “hetero-patriarchal capitalistic systems” so cherished by Whites! Her choice of words is key here. Apparently the Jihadists were not motivated by that medieval, militaristic, anti-Western hatred that pervades so much Islamic literature, they were in fact motivated by the very same antipathies that seem to dominate Jackson’s life. As a Woman, she’s not fond of Men [i.e., the patriarchy]; as a “queer,” not fond of the “hetero” norm; as a Black person, not fond of Whites; and as a Leftist, not fond of Capitalism!

Gee, is it possible Jackson’s view of the events of 9/11 and indeed Reality itself have fallen victim to her own egotistical obsessions? Is it possible that those suicide bombers who thought that by killing thousands of innocent people they might enter Islam’s version of heaven [ Jannah ], actually shared none of her political views?

A lot of us, says Jackson, clearly meaning Blacks, know fear because of other Americans, clearly meaning Whites. She would seem to be asking us to morally equate the deaths of 3,000 utterly innocent people, including, of course, many of color, to the highly ambiguous deaths of individuals such as George Floyd, a career criminal killed by a White cop.

Am I suggesting there are no White racist cops? Of course not. But statistics consistently show that America’s Blacks, considering the inordinate percentage of violent crimes for which they are responsible, are actually victims of police brutality to a lesser extent than their White criminal peers. But that doesn’t sit well with Jenn Jackson, an “intellectual” who has the audacity to compare the fear invoked in White Americans by the barbarity of 9/11’s Jihadists to the fears apparently felt by every Black American at the hands of their White oppressors. Given her intellectual shortcomings, I would suggest the very fact that she has a job at an American University to be proof of the fundamental tolerance and indeed kindness of those she most seems to loathe!

Not to be outdone by his American counterpart, U. of Toronto philosophy professor Jonathon Weisberg tweeted on Sept. 11: “i see the U.S. is having its dumb little pity party again.”

Canadian evolutionary psychologist Gad Saad expressed his outrage at the statement which was quickly removed from circulation. I don’t know nor do I care about Weisberg’s sexual identity but Saad wryly suggests if one were to “misgender” this “cretin” he would no doubt be far more indignant than he appears to be about 3,000 innocents sent to an early grave. Apparently this “intellectual,” like Jenn Jackson, is so consumed by self-pity that he deems the condition of the “oppressed” here in North America more dire than that of those who chose to leap out of 90th story windows so as to escape being reduced to a cinder. Such is the level of empathy, the level of understanding, typical of so many on the “compassionate” Left!
