On Nov. 17, 26 year old Bethany MaGee, while riding on Chicago’s Blue Line L train, was doused with gasoline and set on fire by Lawrence Reed, a 50 year old Black Man who had been arrested 72 times! Burned over 60% of her body, the poor soul remains in critical condition.
Reed’s last crime was in Aug. of this year when he was charged with assaulting a health care worker in a hospital. Among his many arrests, apparently, several entailed even more violent felonies. How, one wonders, could such an individual be set free once again?
Reed’s Chicago judge was Teresa Molina-Gonzales, a Democrat clearly committed to that party’s “progressive” legal dementia. No doubt the color of Reed’s skin had something to do with her “compassionate” decision to release him with an electronic monitor she felt would deter him from any future criminal assaults. How naive if not pathologically stupid must one be to assume that a degenerate piece of trash such as Reed might amend his ways after already having been arrested 72 times? I refer to him in these harsh terms not because I am a Racist but because I believe in Morality, in Goodness, in genuine Compassion for others. Judge Gonzalez, on the other hand, embracing the Left’s notion that members of the “oppressed” are not responsible for their sometimes violent behavior, reserves her compassion for them while showing little concern whatsoever for their innocent victims. She is quite literally responsible for the horrid attack on poor Ms. MaGee, and judges of her mindset ought, I would argue, to be immediately removed from their positions.
The charge pending on Reed for his latest crime could actually result in a death sentence. Sara Gonzales of Blaze T.V. is perfectly comfortable with such an outcome. Outraged by the criminal behavior of those such as Reed and by the tendency of “progressive” judges to put their welfare ahead of that of their innocent victims, she, as do I, feels the Left has literally gone insane! What is truly troubling, of course, is that Ms. MaGee is but one of thousands of innocent people whose lives have been shattered by the mindless “compassion” of the contemporary Left!
