Alison Collins of the San Fransisco School Board has come under attack for some tweets she made in 2016 that seem to epitomize the unconscionable stupidity of the “woke” Left. Clearly sharing Ibram X. Kendi’s “anti-racist” racism, she accused Asian Americans of using “white supremacist thinking” to “get ahead.” As I have already pointed out, Asian Americans on average earn more than their White neighbors who in turn earn more than the average Black American. Clearly impervious to the value of intelligence and hard work, the San Fransisco School Board, in an attempt to counter the scourge of “systemic racism,” decided last month to make entry to its prestigious Lowell High School dependent not on “merit” but on the mere randomness of a lottery. No doubt Collins was comfortable with that ruling, one of her tweets declaring her disdain for the very notion of human achievement: “Talk to many parents and you will hear praise of Tiger moms and disparagement of Black and Brown culture.” Indeed those Asian Tiger moms who push their kids to succeed, she scorned as dupes of the White establishment, what she referred to as its “house niggers.”
The absolute absurdity of the point of view of Collins and those millions whom she represents is that it dismisses as mere White “social constructs” those very principles and values which inevitably lead to success in the Real World while at the same time blaming the lack of success of people of Color on their White “oppressors.” Some “conservatives” are of the cynical opinion that American Democrats push this self-contradictory narrative because it keeps Blacks psychologically enslaved, convinced that without their “liberal” benefactors they can’t possibly succeed. Yet while there may be some truth to that theory, I am fully convinced that the vast majority of “progressives” are so consumed by the cynical, tribal [racist], crassly reductive vision of the species promulgated by Marx and his “intellectual” minions that they have actually ceased to believe that Values and Principles other than Inclusiveness are even worthy of consideration. As I have said repeatedly, that they call themselves “progressive” is ironic beyond belief.
In discussing her childhood, Candace Owens has revealed that she was shocked to discover that the parents of an Asian friend were constantly pressuring their child to excel in school while her academic progress was rarely mentioned in her own household. Clearly seeing hard work and education not as betrayals of her Black heritage but as the keys to personal success, the intelligent, self-motivated Candace is now apparently considering running for the presidency of her country!
