Good Intentions vs. The Real World

On Jan. 10, Joe Biden met with Canada’s P.M. as well as Mexico’s President Obrador in Mexico City. Obrador thanked Biden for having not built a single meter of wall since he took office. Biden answered, with obvious pride: “We’re trying to make it easier for people to get here.”

A detailed account of the effect of Biden’s border policy is impossible in this space. But some key statistics which you can of course research on your own may serve to illustrate the brazen disregard for reality upon which they are founded.

According to the department of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, 2020 saw from 45 to 50 thousand encounters per month with those seeking to cross the southern border illegally. In 2022 under Biden, those numbers ranged from approximately 164,000 to 240,000 in the warmer months! But aside from the fact that such encounters have more or less tripled in 2 years, it is undeniable that tens of thousands of others have slipped into the States utterly undetected, many of them criminals who have done nothing but exacerbate that lawlessness which is becoming increasingly more evident in the U.S. each and every week.

It is to escape the lawlessness of their own country that many Mexicans have sought to enter the U.S.. In early Jan., the Mexican government managed to arrest the son of Joaquin Guzman, head of the powerful Sinaloa drug cartel. In their attempt to free him, cartel members turned Culiacan into a war zone, killing 10 Mexican soldiers while wounding 35 others, all the while setting fire to vast portions of the city. I mention this simply to illustrate the incredible power and unconscionable savagery of an element that is noticeably active at the American border. The Democrats’ open-door policy is facilitating the advent not only of millions of asylum seekers, but of a significant number of criminals intent on getting rich by selling the deadly drug fentanyl to an obviously more affluent American public.

Since 2020, fentanyl has killed more young Americans than Covid. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency says that over 80% of that drug in the States comes from Mexico. Horrifically, ever increasing amounts of it are available in colorful, candy form so as to make it appear utterly innocuous. In 2021, officials seized approximately 11,200 pounds of the substance at the border, a 400% increase over what had been apprehended in 2018. But obviously vast quantities had eluded detection, as over 80,000 opioid overdoses were recorded that same year. No one is excusing the fools guilty of recklessly endangering their health through drug abuse. But in stark contrast to Biden’s welcoming embrace of all things Mexican, the Republicans have introduced a resolution which would allow the U.S. government to use military force in combating the pernicious machinations of the drug cartels which are clearly thriving under the present U.S. regime.

2022 saw fentanyl related deaths soar in the States, estimates ranging from approximately 75,000 to over 100,000. In a Dec. article published by NPR, a Tacoma, Washington addict who prefers heroin said regrettably that fentanyl is everywhere in the streets of her city. And 80% of it is coming from Mexico!

Of course it is not only the drug cartels that are profiting from Biden’s “compassionate” border policies. Many of those seeking to enter the U.S. have paid significant sums to human traffickers who are no less despicable than those dealing in drugs. Their indifference to the moral caliber of their clients resulted in ICE arresting dozens of individuals in 2022 who were on America’s terrorist watch lists! How many others, one wonders, who are in fact terrorists, have managed to elude ICE and enter the country utterly undetected?

Various people from rural areas in southern states have cited hordes of “illegals” traveling the back roads under cover of darkness in an obvious attempt to join the 10 million or so others already in the country illegally. The Blaze, coincidentally, just posted an article on Yuma, Arizona, whose hospitals and food banks have been utterly overwhelmed by the massive migrant influx which has resulted in a crisis both fiscal and humanitarian. Predictably, as has happened elsewhere, local farmers have reported significant damage to their crops inflicted by those marauding nightly through their fields with no apparent concern for the citizens of the country they have invaded.

Katie Daviscourt, an American who has joined Canada’s Rebel News Network, recently went to El Paso, Texas, where her crew photographed a hundred or so new immigrants sleeping on the floor of that city’s airport. When Tucker Carlson of Fox News interviewed her, he expressed his amazement that it had taken a Canadian outlet to publish this information. Why were America’s mainstream networks not reporting the multitude of problems exacerbated by the policies of a government clearly ruled by Mindless Sentiment rather than a Pragmatic respect for Reality? The answer, of course, is that those networks suffer from the same dementia!

Ought not the welfare of its own citizens to be the preeminent concern of any sane, democratic government? Are the people of Texas, Arizona, etc. in any way responsible for the failure of Mexico’s government to have vanquished those criminal elements which are now invading its neighbor to the north? The border crisis as well as the opioid crisis are presently costing America’s taxpayers billions of dollars per year. But how many lives have they also cost? How many of those tens of thousands who died of fentanyl abuse in 2022 might be alive today had their government seen fit to take control of its southern border?

Just watched a video of Joe and Kamala celebrating all they have accomplished in the last two years. Are you familiar with Theater of the Absurd? Inflation in the U.S. is surging; crime is rampant; anti-White racism has invaded every niche of American society; free speech is on life support; the concept of the “nation state” is now apparently a “conservative” anachronism as is the economic system responsible for America’s freedoms and affluence; indeed the Principles and Values upon which our Western Democracies were founded are now deemed mere expressions of Hatred [i.e., White Supremacy]. Bravo Joe and Kamala and your legion of supporters in both the Media and Academia. You have much to be proud of! [Oops, I just ended a sentence with a preposition. My apologies.]
