How dare you speak proper English!

California high school teacher Marta Shaffer has made it clear in her Tik Tok posts that she considers the imposition of “proper” English grammar on her students to be but an aspect of White Supremacy. “I try to undermine that B.S. in my classroom as much as I can,” she states with pride.

But doesn’t every language on the planet prescribe a set of rules designed to facilitate the effective expression of our thoughts and needs? Are all such norms rooted in the same oppressive intent as, apparently, the Anglo Saxon tradition, or is Shaffer’s antipathy for proper English but another aspect of the Left’s aversion to Reason and Discipline, an aversion which it tries to justify by refusing to discuss their inherent worth and simply denouncing them as White, Patriarchal, Western European biases?

Surely you have read articles suggesting that science and math ought not to have been imposed on Indigenous peoples who subscribe to a non-rational, holistic relationship to the natural universe. Time magazine recently published an online article about Natalia Petrzela’s book “Fit Nation” which suggested that “fitness is a social justice issue,” a White Supremacist value clearly designed to denigrate poor, non-White folks who can’t afford to buy treadmills or join health clubs. Petrzela points out that in the early 20th C. Obesity, far from being a target of derision, was considered a not unattractive manifestation of one’s affluence. Her implication, of course, is that our standards of physical fitness are mere “social constructs” determined by those seeking to celebrate their own class. It is an argument that flies in the face of modern, medical science, a Leftist argument that once again dismisses a demonstrably valid approach to an issue by conflating it with arrogance and oppression. As I have said repeatedly, it’s why this blog is called “the politics of hate.”

The Left’s delusional sense of its intellectual superiority is often substantiated with references to religious fundamentalists on the Right who take the Bible literally, the implication of course being that they have no respect for Science or Reason. But while that element certainly exists, it in no way defines the mainstream “conservatism” represented by Jordan Peterson, Candace Owens, Dave Rubin, Megyn Kelly and the host of other pundits to whom I regularly allude, individuals who are in fact far more Rational, far more committed to Objective Reality than the mainstream Left, a collection of sanctimonious fanatics who regularly abandon verifiable facts because they clash with their feelings.

Hence the currency of absurd opinions such as the notion that proper grammar is of no inherent value, that a slim, fit body is not unequivocally healthier than one burdened with 80 pounds of fat, that Science and Math are in no way integral to success in the real world, that heterosexuality is not Nature’s norm, that the earth’s temperature has not been wildly fluctuating through all of time, etc., etc., etc..

Did you know that famed film director James Cameron recently declared Testosterone to be inherently toxic? Rather than adopting the classic moral [i.e.,”conservative”] perspective that judges each person as an individual, he in effect demonized his entire gender. The complexities of Life be damned. Nature got it wrong in failing to program the species in accordance with Egalitarian, Feminist Orthodoxy. Such is the respect for Reality that seems to have metastasized throughout the contemporary Left, a movement addicted to judging people in accordance with their membership in various simplistic categories….. i.e., Men bad, Women good; White people bad, Colored people good; Straight people bad, Gays good; etc., etc.. That those of this persuasion insist on demonizing the “populist” masses as a collection of simpletons is truly incredible!
