As I am clearly a conservative, you might think the following is another attack on on the “liberal” Left. But each of those involved in the debate I am about to cite is a conservative.
On Nov. 24, Salem News posted a video of a discussion between host Mile Gallagher and his guest Mark Davis. At issue was Mark Levin’s reputed condemnation of Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson as Nazis and Jew Haters. Davis adamantly denied that Levin had said such things and insisted that Gallagher’s accusation entailed a gross simplification of the truth. But Gallagher then proceeded to play a recording of Levin saying the very things of which he was accused. Incredibly, Davis doubled down, insisting that Levin had not really meant what he had obviously said! At the same time Mark Levin, in response to Kelly’s outrage over his accusations, denied he had made them and called her a “crackpot” and a “liar!”
So utterly decadent has contemporary political debate become that those consumed by their own point of view are willing to deny facts self-evidently verified by audio-video evidence! Let us hope that Reason prevails. If it does so, I can assure you it is the ideological certitudes of the “woke” Left that will most dramatically be exposed as patently absurd!
