It’s the Principle of the thing, you Fools!

As alluded to in a recent blog, Josh Alexander, a student at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ont., was banished from school property last Nov. for expressing his views on the recent accommodations made to transgenders. His belief that one’s genitalia define one’s gender is, I think, simplistic. Yet the event that led to his suspension was certainly no hate filled rant against those of ambivalent sexuality. His offense was to have organized a student rally last Nov. 25 in downtown Renfrew whose official goal was to “Remove Males from Female Washrooms.” Inasmuch as Women across North America have expressed fear and outrage that individuals with penises have been granted access to their most intimate of moments, his project hardly seems a moral abomination. Yet the Renfrew Catholic School Board literally robbed him of a year’s education for expressing his views.

On Feb. 6 Alexander attempted to begin attending classes once again. He was immediately arrested for trespassing and escorted off school property where he was later released. Lawyer James Kitchen of The Liberty Coalition of Canada is presently representing him in his complaint against the Renfrew Catholic School Board. Kitchen appeared yesterday on Rebel News with Sheila Gunn Reid where he made some very interesting points.

One of the most bizarre aspects of this case is that it is a Catholic board that is persecuting Alexander whose views are utterly in keeping with traditional Catholic orthodoxy. Yes the Church is in a transitional phase and I doubt one could find any priest willing to call homosexuality a sin. This is as it should be. But Josh, far from condemning those of an alternative orientation, has merely asserted that Heterosexuality is Nature’s Norm and his Nov. 25 rally was clearly in support of Women’s rights. The ludicrous irony of those who call themselves “liberals,” according to Kitchen, is that they insist each of us is entitled to our opinion while utterly forbidding certain opinions from being spoken out loud! Millions of adults across N. America, he says, loathe the “woke” nonsense that seems to be invading every sector of our culture but are afraid to speak up for fear of having their lives ruined by the “progressive” Ruling Elites, elites who are doing exactly what the loathed McCarthyites did 70 years ago when they held the cultural reins of power.

Significantly, Kitchen points out, the lawyers representing the Renfrew School Board have consistently refused to answer when asked what legal statute his client has broken. The board is simply doing what it feels is right, appears to be the substance of their argument. It is the classic “liberal” vs. “conservative” rift, the former convinced their Feelings represent a valid vehicle to the reign of justice, the latter knowing that without a fundamental respect for Objective Standards, however they may need to be amended, you are well on your way to Fascism. Such is the status quo in both Canada and the U.S. where our Neo-Marxist “intellectuals,” ably assisted by a biased media that never stops venting its “feelings,” are firmly convinced they have the right to destroy the life of anyone who disagrees with them even when they have broken no identifiable Law whatsoever. Hence the “cancellation” of an entire year of Josh Alexander’s life simply because he chose to speak his mind. Bravo Canada! Bravo those of you utterly incapable of appreciating the value of a Principle! I honestly don’t know whether you are Evil or just irredeemably Stupid!
