Jan. 6 … Lies, lies, and more Lies!

A week ago, Tucker Carlson devoted his Fox news show to the plethora of lies repeated ad nauseam both by Democrats and the hypocrites of the mainstream media on the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

President Biden, A. G. Merrick Garland and others have lavishly celebrated the heroic efforts of those 5 police officers who lost their lives defending the Capitol. But as reported by CNBC in early August of 2021, 4 of those deaths were in fact suicides which occurred in the days and weeks after the event. The official report on the suicide of officer Jeffrey Smith who died on Jan. 15 is interesting. It states that “the sole and direct cause of his death” was an injury he suffered on the Sixth. That he took his own life was apparently a minor detail utterly superseded by the impact of an unarmed “mob” which was in fact engaged in little violence whatsoever.

Officer Brian Sicknick, as repeatedly screeched on various news stations, died as a result of injuries sustained when viciously beaten with a fire extinguisher. But oh dear, it turns out this was a brazen lie! As his autopsy revealed, Sicknick died on Jan. 7 of two strokes no doubt induced by the stresses of Jan. 6 but in no way the result of a violent assault.

The 4 people who actually died on Jan. 6 were all Trump supporters. Of those, the only one who was a victim of an intentional act of violence was Ashli Babbitt, shot to death by officer Michael Byrd as she attempted to climb through a window. Byrd has admitted he could see she was not armed, yet in April of 2021 the Department of Justice decided not to press charges. Truly saddened by the unnecessary death of this military veteran, I have no idea of what would constitute a just resolution of her case. But I do wonder if officer Byrd’s identity as a Black man has not spared him an indictment. Given the absurd ideological bias of our age, would not a White police officer who shot an unarmed Black women climbing through a window most likely be languishing in prison today? And might there not be riots if this were not the case?

Why did Pelosi and various others repeatedly reject offers of support for the forces assigned to defend the Capitol? Why did several officers willingly open its doors and invite the crowds to enter? How has Ray Epps, who can be seen on film inciting Trump’s supporters to violence on both the 5th and 6th, been charged with nothing whatsoever, while hundreds who did little more than trespass have spent time in prison? The eagerness to exonerate Epps exhibited by the Jan. 6 investigative committee is truly suspicious.

The theory on the Right, of course, is that Pelosi and the Democrats welcomed the breach of the Capitol as an excuse to indict and utterly destroy Donald Trump. Ray Epps, the theory goes, was but one of many FBI plants among the crowds inciting them to break the law. Denounced in the media as just another ridiculous conspiracy theory, it was nevertheless given credence at a Jan. 11 Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing in which representatives of both the D.O.J. and FBI repeatedly refused to answer questions posed by Sen. Ted Cruz in his attempt to highlight the brazen political bias that has come to infect both those institutions.

In attempting to prove the “wildly disparate standards” applied to the B.L.M. mobs of 2020 and the “insurrectionists” of Jan. 6, Cruz was repeatedly denied any information whatsoever by an official of the D.O.J. Knowing that hundreds of those who had breached the Capitol had spent time in prison, many in solitary confinement, he asked for the statistics on their incarcerations as well as the numbers regarding the prosecution of those responsible for the riots, burning of buildings and multiple deaths that marred 2020. Bizarrely, he was repeatedly told by an official apparently present at the inquiry to answer questions, that he “did not know, did not know, did not know!”

The FBI’s Jill Sandburn was equally uncooperative in responding to Cruz’s questions. When asked how many FBI agents had been present amongst the hordes of Jan 6, and how many of them had incited violence or actually been guilty of such, she repeatedly answered : “I can’t answer that. I can’t answer that.”

Such is the level of transparency manifest almost daily by institutions which the architects of Democracy assumed would always remain above politics. A poll, no doubt ignored by the mainstream media, recently revealed that 53% of Americans deem the FBI to be little more than Joe Biden’s version of the Gestapo. Yet the brain-dead Left, convinced its “compassionate” world-view entitles it to defy the American Constitution and the Rule of Law in general, never stops insisting it is “conservatives” such as Ted Cruz who are in fact today’s most insidious threats to Democracy.
