Lies, Lies, Lies!

James O’Keefe of Project Veritas regularly posts videos on the latest retraction granted him by various Leftist entities which have accused him of publishing lies. His Wall of Shame, he wryly admits, is completely full, his latest post highlighting the 333rd time he has been regaled with an apology from those who had either misrepresented what he said or failed to actually investigate the truth.

In a recent video Candace Owens asks: “Was everything you were told about the “Capitol Riot” a lie?” Having a home in D.C., she wonders why the burning of a Church not far from her by B.L.M. was deemed an act of “social justice,” whereas the assault on the Capitol was characterized as a “riot.” The phrase “Never Forget,” she notes, has been trending on the internet, a phrase generally used to invoke memories of either the Holocaust or 9/11. But she insists, “if you have a brain cell,” you surely must admit the analogy between those two events and the Jan. 6 antics of a couple of hundred idiots to be utterly absurd.

AOC tearfully declared that she almost lost her life on Jan. 6. Turns out the “insurrectionists” never breached the building she was in, a building quite separate from the Capitol where, by the way, no one was killed by any of the intruders. Was her lie a consciously pursued tactic or simply the utterance of one with the emotional maturity of a 12 year old?

But dear me, even longstanding “conservative” George Will, presumably motivated by hatred of Trump, has brazenly lied in his coverage of recent events. Will, oddly affiliated with NBC and the Washington Post, both decidedly “progressive,” expounded as follows in the latter publication on the Congressional attempt to impeach Trump: “The presentation by the House impeachment managers was a demonstration, the more welcome for its rarity, of congressional conscientiousness and meticulousness.” But those managers had in fact deceitfully, intentionally, brazenly deleted from Trump’s Jan. 6 speech his wish that his followers conduct themselves “peacefully and patriotically.”

I don’t care if Will loathes Donald Trump. But his assertion that the attempt to impeach him was conducted with meticulous conscientiousness is the sort of brazen lie that has led a good deal of the public to seek the truth elsewhere than in the polluted pontifications of the mainstream media.
