Mainstream News: Relentlessly Dishonest

In a wonderful video posted by Ben Shapiro on May 20, Michael Knowles discusses a compilation put together by Glen Greenwald exposing the many brazen lies told by MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace who, even as she lies, accuses the Right of being a shameless source of misinformation. As her statements were made on national television, they can hardly be denounced as the fabrication of right-wing conspirators.

No doubt Wallace thought she was telling the truth, but her convictions were rooted in sheer ideological bias rather than any thorough investigation of the facts. That, unfortunately, is the degenerate modus operandi of much of the mainstream media for which the facts are only important when they support their narrative.

Wallace mocked the incriminating Hunter Biden Email story as just so much Republican B.S.. She was wrong! She ranted against the callous murder of police officer Brian Sicknick by Jan. 6 “insurrectionists.” It turns out he died of natural causes. She insisted that the FBI had no knowledge that the Steele dossier used to indict Trump was a fabrication. Indeed she says all FBI personnel have been absolved of any wrongdoing in the Russian Collusion hoax. These are both lies. On and on she went over several years spewing misinformation based on her political bias rather than anything approaching journalistic integrity.

What distresses Knowles is that millions of sanctimonious “progressives” will continue to watch MSNBC, CNN, etc. utterly convinced that while Trump is a dire threat to the Democratic process, Barack and Hillary would never dream of illegally colluding with the FBI to try and rig an election. This failure of self-awareness has led them, with ever increasing frequency, to accuse the Right of getting more fanatical with each passing day. Yes, I know there are QAnon loonies, among others, on America’s “conservative” fringe, but their influence among rational, mainstream “conservatives” is nil as is their chance of ever entering the corridors of power. What better illustrates that it is the Left, as exemplified by a host of high profile elected officials, that has careened into the realm of extremism than the fact that Bill Mahr, himself no Republican, has taken to mocking it’s absurdity on a regular basis?
