In an attempt to secure the integrity of America’s national elections, the Trump administration is seeking to deter non-citizens from voting by including a proof of citizenship requirement on the federal voter registration form. On Thursday, April 24, judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the District of Columbia dismissed that initiative. The lady in question, who rose to prominence during the Clinton era, is clearly of a Leftist mindset and shares the inane though oft-repeated notion that Republican attempts to insure the legality of every vote cast are actually attempts by the “privileged” to minimalize the impact of Black and impoverished voters prone to vote for the Democrats.
In going online to research the issue at hand, I came across an obviously Leftist site called Democracy Docket which referred to Trump’s piece of legislation as an “Anti-Voting Executive Order.” The “logic” here is that asking certain people to observe the legal protocols of a Democracy is an act of oppression. This should come as no surprise, of course, given the Left’s conviction that the very notion of a National Border is deemed a violation of Inclusiveness. But aside from the Left’s moronic inability to appreciate the necessity of Rational Criteria in maintaining the integrity of a Democracy, its insistence that those in favour of such criteria are mere “privileged” jerks with no empathy whatsoever for the “downtrodden” is truly hypocritical. The Left seeks to exonerate the Poor, People of Colour, and even Illegal Aliens from having to produce proper proof of citizenship in casting their vote because it knows 90% of those demographics well vote for them. Its assertion that Trump’s quest for electoral integrity is somehow tainted is not only hypocritical, but indeed another example of the moral/intellectual nihilism of its very own agenda.
