Catholicism teaches that sex outside of marriage is a sin. While I was raised a Catholic, I have left it behind and certainly did not adhere to that tenet. But think of the outrage if Catholics insisted that their sexual mores be taught in public schools!
No one is promoting intolerance for the LGBTQ community. But that sector’s insistence that gender is merely a matter of choice, that heterosexuality is merely a “social construct,” is utterly non-scientific, indeed is no more than a ploy designed to advance the lie that every permutation of human sexuality is perfectly “normal.” As it is a crass denial of human biology that is fraught with existential implications [i.e., for traditional marriages], it is in essence a “religious” tenet that has no more place in our institutions of public education than the teaching of Catholic orthodoxy. Yet the Gay community, often with the sanctimonious support of Leftist governments, insists it has the right to present its vision of the species as Scientific Fact not only to university students but to 6, 7 and 8 year olds clearly incapable of distinguishing truth from nonsense.
On May 20, Pamela Geller’s site reported on a Philadelphia school district that had encouraged its teachers to attend a conference on alternative sexual lifestyles at the Mazzoni Center whose main focus is the health and welfare of the gay community.
Upon learning of this development Christopher Rufo, a “conservative” affiliated with the Manhattan Institute, expressed his outrage in several Tweets. Among the topics listed for discussion, he said, were “kink,” “trans sex,” “bigger dick energy,” and “banging beyond binaries.” Trans activist Chase Ross, apparently, was to demonstrate various dildos in illuminating the topic of “prosthetics for sex.” Another speaker, Jamie Joy, described himself, without embarrassment, as “polyamorous” and a “pretty big slut.” Other topics included bizarre fetishes involving puppies, spanking and Mary Poppins.
I could not care less what others do in privacy with the partner of their choice. But what bizarre perversion of logic has led us to the point where the utterly subjective narrative of a demographic desperately seeking validation is now deemed worthy not of actual, critical discussion, which of course would be denounced as hate speech, but of simple, mindless endorsement in the halls of Academia?
Seeking to learn more about Rufo, I Googled his name and was surprised to see the first article after Wikipedia’s biography to be one published almost a year ago [June, 2021] in the New Yorker entitled “How a Conservative Activist Invented the Conflict over Critical Race Theory.” Clearly it was not chronology but ideological bias that gave it such a place of prominence over the dozens of other entries on Rufo. Such is the level of bias which inspired Musk to purchase Twitter. Such is the level of bias rampant on platforms purporting to be objective conveyors of information. Thus have millions of Westerners become utterly incapable of distinguishing Leftist nonsense from the actual Truth! The New Yorker’s article on Rufo, you see, while prioritized by Google, is sheer B.S.!
This is no place for a lengthy discussion of C.R.T., but the notion that Rufo “invented” its various fallacies is absurd. A basic tenet of that theory is that Race is a mere Social Construct whereby certain ethnic groups have failed to excel because of the cultural pressures imposed upon them. But in almost every case those cultural pressures were imposed by their very own people. This is to say that Critical Race Theory, like the LGBTQ narrative, attempts to sever human behavior from the realities, both genetic and otherwise, of the species. An honest appraisal of the full span of factors that led, for example, to Residential Schools in Canada or the use of slave labor in the Southern U.S. reveals Critical Race Theory to be a grossly simplistic if not utterly dishonest violation of the Truth. That various peoples of Color along with the Gay community have legitimate grounds for complaint about their treatment does not give them the right to infest our schools with narratives shaped more by resentment and indeed hatred than any genuine concern with the facts of either History or Biology.
