As reported by The Blaze on May 13, Joe Biden recently addressed the students of the historically Black Howard University in Washington D.C.. Pandering to the assumed biases of his audience, he declared that White Supremacy was the most dangerous threat to America’s Democracy. The political Right, he asserted, was clearly intent on setting the country’s various ethnic groups against each other, on inciting hatred and division wherever it could.
Fact: The Marxist narrative that informs the Left implicitly sets society’s various segments against each other by defining all socioeconomic disparities not in terms of Intelligence, Effort and Achievement but as the results of Privilege and Oppression. It is a narrative which eliminates every positive human quality other than compassion from consideration. It is a narrative that is intellectually and morally absurd. So also were Biden’s comments.
What to the Left is a White Supremacist? One must grant, of course, that there are Whites who subscribe to the ludicrous notion that the color of their skin makes them superior to others. But theirs is a perspective radically different from that of mainstream “conservatives” which, given its focus on the integrity of Ideas and Values, is compelled by the simple facts of History to defend those of White Western Europeans as significantly more evolved than those of various other civilizations. As Leftists, however, are unwilling to discuss the integrity of Ideas and Values, they have no other option but to hurl insulting epithets at those who disagree with them. The intellectual bankruptcy of their perspective, that is, leaves them no other option but the incitement of hatred towards their enemies!
The sophisticated Postmodern justification of such hatred is the fiction of utter Intellectual and Moral Relativism, the belief that no one set of beliefs and values is superior to any other. As noted repeatedly throughout these blogs, it is nothing unusual these days to hear someone on the Left declare that a Scientific approach to the physical world is merely a Western eccentricity of no more value than the superstition-laden, “holistic” world-views of the Indigenous. The Maryland teacher cited in my last blog clearly deemed math and science to be of only secondary importance. The upshot of this widespread abandonment of the concept of Intellectual Integrity, is that those intent on defending the flawed though always evolving and often amazing philosophical and artistic products of Western European Culture, are now deemed to be White Supremacists. Suggest that Shakespeare’s plays are works of unparalleled brilliance and you are a White Supremacist. Suggest that 2+2=4 and you are arbitrarily imposing your Western obsession with Reason upon those who have every right to think otherwise! Such is the sheer stupidity informing Biden’s pandering comments at Howard U.. Such is the hypocrisy of the simpletons ruling both Canada and the States whose “defense” of Democracy entails demonizing all who disagree with them in a transparent effort to cancel what used to be considered each Individual’s Natural Right to Freedom of Speech and Conscience.
