The Ideas and Agendas of the multitude of conservatives I admire are rooted in Facts and Reason rather than Hatred.
As Megyn Kelly pointed out in a recent podcast, an individual born with a penis cannot become a Woman by a simple act of volition. This is a statement of Fact, she said, and not some expression of Hatred. Having no rational response to her perfectly valid statement, the Left has no choice but to denounce her as a Hater. It is the hypocritical tactic it uses consistently to avoid admitting the intellectual absurdity of its Ideology.
The Western Europeans who came to the Americas 500 years ago had every right to conclude that they were inestimably more civilized than the natives they encountered in their travels. This is not to exonerate any obvious acts of cruelty, but simply to point out that the Left’s vilification of Western Colonialists as no more than the perpetrators of a racially motivated Cultural Genocide, is truly simplistic!
On most every issue, the Left indicts mainstream conservatives as Haters because it cannot Rationally refute their Ideas! Hence the willingness of a number of commentators and “intellectuals” to actually condone Charlie Kirk’s murder as a justifiable response to his loathsome bigotry. The absurd irony of the fact that their rationalization of his murder is itself rooted in Hatred, is seemingly lost on them.
That MSNBC’s ratings are in serious decline is perhaps why it was so quick to fire Matthew Dowd upon his assertion that Charlie Kirk’s “hateful” words quite naturally led to hateful reactions from his opponents. Seemingly implying that Kirk was responsible for his own death, Dowd apologized immediately after his firing, saying that was not his intended message at all.
On Thursday, Canada’s brazenly leftist CBC interviewed university academic Barbara Perry whom it cited as a “hate expert.” Perry’s main point was that it was the Right that had created the climate of hatred that led to Charlie Kirk’s murder. As validation she mentioned that Kirk had actually called for the execution of Gays at one point. While I was shocked that he might have done so, I was pleased to learn that Stephen King, a Democrat who had also indited Kirk for his apparent incitement of violence, apologized a few days after his death, saying he had misinterpreted the statement in question in which Kirk had simply sought to illustrate how some people quote the Bible out of context in support of their own hateful impulses. He had not, that is to say, incited violence against anyone.
What Perry failed to mention in her claim that the Right is responsible for the politically motivated violence of our contemporary world, is that while Bigots of various sorts might use the conservative narrative to justify their hateful impulses, mainstream Conservatism is in fact rooted in Reason, and none of the dozens of conservative pundits I admire would ever consider promoting violence as an answer to our various political issues. My point is simply that it is the Left that has normalized the term “hate speech,” thereby implying that the only way of dealing with the loathsome Right is through the use of force if not Violence.
What is truly distressing is the pollution of our academic institutions with the Hatred that pervades the Left. Just hours after Kirk’s murder, Ruth Marshall, an associate professor at the U. of Toronto, posted on X that: “Shooting is honestly too good for so many of you fascist c–ts.” [Not immediately recognizing that last word which had been similarly edited in various reports, I was appalled to learn that it was the slang term for the female genitalia.] When Blaze News asked the U. of T. to comment on Marshall’s current status, it was told she had been placed on involuntary leave. Marshall and Perry, of course, are not the only academics to have responded to Kirk’s murder with politically motivated insensitivity. Indeed, as NBC reported, at least a dozen teachers/professors across the U.S. have been fired or suspended for declaring that Kirk more or less had it coming to him!
And what of the mainstream media? In a discussion with several others on CNN, Scott Jennings expressed his outrage that various commentators had attempted to defend the Left by suggesting either that Tyler Robinson was not politically motivated in his assassination, or that he was actually a supporter of Charlie Kirk. The evidence is incontrovertible, said Jennings. Robinson identifies as a victim with a Trans boyfriend and was clearly motivated by a Leftist sense of Self-Righteousness. This was staunchly affirmed by Utah Governor Spencer Cox who stated: “this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”
In a Sept. 15 post, The Blaze suggested that millions of “normal” Americans with no particular political bias were slowly trending to the Right in response to the obvious absurdity of the contemporary Left. That individuals arrested 15 times in various Democratic States are still free to brutalize the innocent, is truly insane! That Biden allowed more than 10 million illegals into the country throughout his presidency, is truly insane! That “intellectuals” and “progressive” reporters insist their world-view in no way incites hatred towards conservatives, is truly insane. Hopefully the Blaze is right in its contention that Common Sense is about to displace Neo-Marxist authoritarianism as the dominant force in determining the future of our Western Democracies!
