The N.Y. Times Exposed

James O’ Keefe’s Project Veritas is a “conservative” enterprise intent on infiltrating Leftist enclaves and exposing their hypocrisy. While the deceptions it uses to do so may at times breach the boundaries of conventional ethics, its quest for the Truth seems to me an eminently worthy endeavor. A few days ago a female “agent” managed to record an interview with the N.Y. Times’ Matthew Rosenberg whose frankness suggests he did not know he was being recorded.

Rosenberg spoke extensively of his paper’s non-stop promotion of the Jan. 6 “insurrection” as a sinister, organized effort deliberately incited by Trump to overthrow the American government. It is a narrative he sees as completely “over the top.” There is, he says, “a real tug of war” at the Times between “reasonable people and some of the crazier leftist shit that’s worked its way in here.” While those staff members given to such radicalism do not form a majority, Rosenberg suggests they have an unduly powerful impact on shaping the paper’s perspective. As if to explain its constant references to the “deadly” events of the day, he mockingly points out that while several of his younger, radical colleagues who were inside the Capitol said they had feared for their lives, he and a couple of other veterans positioned in the crowd right outside the building were, to use his own words, “just having fun.” They had nothing to worry about, he insists. As I have pointed out repeatedly in the past, none of the deaths which transpired on the 6th were actually caused by the “rioters.” And yet we never stop hearing of their “deadly insurrection.”

Equally distressing is Rosenberg’s admission that the Times discovered “there were a ton of FBI informants among the people who attacked the Capitol.” Since the Obama era, of course, Republicans have claimed the FBI has become a wing of the Democratic Party, its pursuit of Trump’s so-called Russian collusion being a prime example of its corruption. Some have suggested agents within the mob were actively inciting it. Fox News’ Mark Levin has stated wryly that there is little chance the Jan. 6 Committee might subpoena Rosenberg or the FBI for their input on this issue inasmuch as it seems to have accepted the facile “over the top” narrative perpetrated by the Times, the narrative that all those who showed up on the Sixth were racists, misogynists, and generally dangerous, right-wing fanatics. Several of those under investigation by the committee, guilty of no act of violence whatsoever, say they have been denied due process due to the perpetration of this specious, politically motivated lie.

James O’ Keefe himself seems to have talked directly to the Times reporter a few days ago. While affirming that he would not retract any of his statements, Rosenberg was nevertheless quite nervous as O’ Keefe pressed him. Why wouldn’t he be? His job may be on the line, for what his revelations would seem to have revealed is that the N.Y. Times, that bastion of journalistic integrity, like so many other platforms of the mainstream media, is no longer so much interested in reporting the Truth as it is in spreading Ideological B. S..
