The Proof is in the Streets!

The lunacy, and I mean that quite literally, of the Left’s “compassionate” toleration of crimes both “non-violent” and otherwise, is a self-evident fact.

California’s Prop 47 assumes the damage done to small, privately owned businesses by those who smash and grab only a few hundred dollars worth of product, is not an issue worthy of serious legal repercussions, though it may ultimately destroy the cumulative efforts of their owners’ entire lives. While those who fashioned that piece of legislation no doubt saw multi-nationals such as Walmart as its chief victims, only an idiot could fail to see it was likely to impact the well-being of businesses and individuals of every class imaginable.

Absurdly, many car owners in Third World San Fransisco are now leaving their vehicles unlocked with their trunks wide open in an effort to avoid having them damaged by thieves intent on what their State has come to tolerate as mere minor acts of criminality [i.e., misdemeanors].

In a recent press conference held by Jen Psaki, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked her to explain how a particular pickpocket with more than 30 arrests [!!!] could still be free in a country apparently devoted to the Rule of Law and, moreover, how Craig Tamanaha, a vagrant with a lengthy criminal record who burned down Fox News’ artificial Christmas tree in N.Y. City, apparently worth $500,000, had been immediately released with no bail requirements whatsoever.

Baltimore police officer Keona Holley, whom I believe to be Black, was shot early last Thursday morning while sitting in her cruiser by two Black men who shortly thereafter killed one Justin Johnson. The last I checked, she was still in critical condition in hospital. Each of her assailants had lengthy criminal records in various jurisdictions. Those responsible for the “progressive” legal protocols which led to their release are quite literally responsible for both the death of Mr. Johnson and innocent officer Holley’s dire predicament!

On May 2, 2020, 80 year old George Black of Denver was feeding pigeons in broad daylight by the Colorado State Capitol when he was attacked for no reason whatsoever by 38 year old Stephanie Martinez who beat him viciously. Black died as a result of the assault. Martinez, with a 10 year history of violence behind her, had been arrested twice for violent crimes in the months leading up to this event, in both cases released with no bail requirements whatsoever. She is, apparently, one of thousands of felons who are free as a result of the “liberal” policies of Denver County Court. Her trial just recently completed, she was found guilty of only criminally negligent homicide which carries a maximum sentence of 3 years with the possibility of immediate parole. She was spared spending the rest of her life in prison because she could not possibly have known of those health issues which, her defense team argued, led to her 80 year old victim’s death. Her well-being, apparently, more important than the lives of her innocent victims!

You tell me, are the facts cited above indicative of a compassionate, highly evolved society, or of one which has utterly abandoned the concepts of good and evil? Unable to deny the chaos evident in her city, San Fransisco Mayor London Breed has vowed to increase funding to the police though it was under her jurisdiction that they were de-funded of approximately 120 million dollars in the first place. And while Governor Newsom has vowed to put an end to the looting that has devastated California, he has also refused to rescind Prop 47 which is the very reason thousands of repeat criminals continue to roam its streets because, you know, they’re not really bad people but simply victims of an unjust society.
