As reported today by Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, various Democrat controlled “sanctuary states” have aggressively sought to deter the ICE agents assigned by Trump from ridding America of its thousands of criminal aliens. N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James, for example, has overseen the release of approximately 7000 foreign prisoners from her state’s jails which, since Jan. of 2025, has resulted in 29 murders, 2.509 assaults, 199 burglaries, 207 sexual offenses, etc., etc.. Illinois and other states have shown the same “compassionate” concern for the health and welfare of illegal aliens as opposed to that of their very own citizens.
Such insanity is fueled by the fundamental Leftist notion that Western Civilization is the vilest force in all of history, that Capitalism is rooted in mere greed, that achievement has little to do with intelligence or hard work and success is always a product of privilege. So if an “oppressed” foreigner happens to have been responsible for the death of a member of the White “privileged” class, you must understand there was a certain element of justice behind his actions. The same “logic,” of course, explains the relatively muted response of Canada’s “progressive” media to the burning of several Catholic churches by Indigenous malcontents over the last few years.
Yes, Trump’s often bullying manner of pursuing his goals is disturbing but perhaps understandable given the insanity with which he is dealing, the insanity of an American Left which has little respect for the nation’s History and Traditions, little respect for the Rule of Law and the safety of its own citizens, little respect for the security of its Borders, little respect for Free Speech and all dissenting Points of View, etc., etc., etc..
