Voters’ “Rights”

As does so much in our pop culture, much of what passes for “comedy” these days deserves the same fate as one’s morning fecal output. In an ad for a show I have no intention of watching, the so-called Comedy Network presents the relentlessly smug Bill Mahr expressing sarcastically fake outrage that the Democrats, post election, seem to be demanding that every vote cast ought to be counted!

Of course what Mahr fails to mention is that in the months leading up to the 2020 election, voters’ rights groups of an exclusively Democratic bias had lobbied throughout the States to have the criteria by which mail-in votes were rejected, significantly slackened. Their main concern, apparently, was that the votes most likely to be rejected would come from certain predictable demographics, people of color and new immigrants among them, both groups inclined to vote Democrat.

Certainly everyone legally entitled to vote ought to have their say. And one can only hope the candidate who legitimately won the election is ultimately awarded the Presidency. But while the mainstream media has perhaps barely mentioned them, there were some very, very strange happenings on election night, all of which tended to the defeat of Mr. Trump.

It is generally thought that Trump’s reaction to the election result is nothing more than the sour grapes of a petty narcissist. But he and his party were way ahead of the game. In mid summer the R.N.C. was litigating in a number of Democratically dominated states to make sure that their poll watchers were able to take in election night proceedings unobstructed. The evidence suggests that in a number of locations that right was Not respected. In response to widespread Democratic efforts to force the acceptance of mail-in ballots tainted by dubious signatures, Trump wondered well in advance of the election: “Why would Democrats want to ban requirements for signature verification?”

An article published on Aug. 15 by NBC states quite simply that matching the signature on a mail-in ballot to the officially registered signature of a voter is “a simple and effective security measure.” And yet, somewhat confusingly, the same article cites the claim by voters’ rights advocates that signature verification is a “useless requirement” that does not prevent fraud and in many cases invalidates votes that are legitimate, among them the ballots of elderly folks whose handwriting has deteriorated over time. One might argue that those so afflicted, if they are seriously intent on voting, need to take the appropriate measures. But when the article cites the example of Lady Gaga who, unable to remember if she is registered by her stage name or her real name, might tragically have her ballot thrown out, one senses it is willing to go to any lengths in support of the absurd contention that every vote ought to be counted even if that means opening the door to massive voter fraud.

May I draw your attention to an article posted on Nov. 21 by Kiwiblog, a web site founded by New Zealand pollster David Farrar, a member of that country’s center-right National Party. The statistical anomalies that occurred in the course of the U.S. election are truly astounding. To mention but a few:

Over the last 60 years, the Party of the winning candidate in every Presidential election has gained on average 16 seats in the House of Representatives. This year the Democrats appear to have lost 12 such seats, a differential of 28!

In Republican dominated States where there were strict voting procedures, the leads Trump had amassed during the day were barely altered through the night. Yet in 11 States run by Democrats he got slaughtered as the mail-in votes were counted, Biden mysteriously outperforming Barack Obama by a mind-blowing 13%.

In Michigan Trump continued to lead through the early hours of the 4th until 5:32 A.M. when in an instant Biden was awarded 141,258 votes to his 5,968! In Pennsylvania the walk-in votes had the President ahead by 900,000, only to lose the state by 40,000 votes when the mail-in ballots were counted.

In Michigan the vast majority of precincts reported a 100% voter turnout! Really? !00% !!!!

I have only scratched the surface of the Kiwiblog article. That the mainstream media continues to characterize Trump’s legal challenges to the election as nothing more than a product of his Ego is disgusting. It is not interested in pursuing the truth, it is not interested in the facts. And if you believe there is nothing suspicious in the statistical anomalies of Nov. 3 and 4, then neither are you.

I of course have no idea of who actually won the election, but the notion that those who hate Trump would never dream of violating the rules of their Democracy is rendered absurd by the multitude of irrational, vindictive, loathsome statements [and acts] which have become more or less the daily mantra of the contemporary American Left.

And oh, by the way, Trump’s legal challenges, unlike Barack and Hillary’s abuse of the FBI to investigate him, are perfectly permissible under the U.S. Constitution.
