In response to various recent rulings of a “conservative” nature by the U.S. Supreme Court, Black WNBA player Natasha Cloud has used her Instagram and Twitter platforms to make the following statements: “Our country is trash in so many ways…..This country is an f…ing joke….The inhumane savagery way is a very American/European ideology,” etc., etc..
One of the decisions that appalled her was the ruling that a Colorado web designer, Lorie Smith, was within her rights to refuse to create a site promoting gay marriage because it clashed with her religious beliefs. Cloud, a bisexual married to a woman, simply assumed that her rights as such utterly superseded the principle of Freedom of Religion. One wonders, in learning of her loathing for “American/European” ideology, if she is aware of what might happen to her in any number of Asian or African counties as a result of her sexual orientation. Might she alter her anti-Western dementia upon realizing that she could be imprisoned or in fact executed in other parts of the world simply for being Gay?
Cloud’s loathing for America was exacerbated by the June 29 ruling of the Supreme Court that Race ought not to be an issue in determining admission into America’s various institutions of higher learning. Interviewed on CNN subsequent to that ruling, Kenny Xu, an advocate for fair admission standards, argued that they should be based primarily on Merit. When CNN’s Abby Philip suggested that Affirmative Actions need not necessarily pollute academic standards, Xu answered as follows: “The standard is lowered, as admissions data shows. Asians have to score 273 points higher in the SAT to have the same chance of admission as a Black person.” Harvard’s student newspaper, The Crimson, concurred, stating a while back that Asian students had the highest average test scores yet the lowest admission rate, while Black students had the lowest standardized test scores yet enjoyed the highest admission rate. But of course to the “woke” Left, Asians are not an officially anointed “oppressed” minority so the fact that they have been treated unfairly is not covered by their definition of social justice.
Justice Clarence Thomas, a wonderful Black Man who thinks with his Brain rather than his Melanin, defended the Supreme Court’s decision, saying it adhered to the Constitutional Principle that Race ought not to be a factor in any legal decision. Indeed he perfectly summarized the absurdity of the cultural climate fomented by the Left when he stated: “Racialism simply cannot be undone by different or more racialism.” Certainly no fool, he realizes America still has its racial issues, but the angry, outlandish exaggerations of one such as Natasha Cloud do nothing but exacerbate those issues.
While Thomas might be reluctant to say it, I will. Cloud is herself a racist as are most of those active within Black Lives Matter. The color of their skin rather than Reason is their defining cognitive criterion. Were a White person to vilify all of African Culture as Cloud did the American/European tradition, he/she would immediately be fired/cancelled/banished. But in our sick, sick world, prominent politicians such as A.O.C. fully concur with Cloud’s opinions, saying these recent Supreme Court decisions represent a vile abuse of government power. And the simpleton who presently occupies the Oval Office apparently agrees! Yes, if you don’t fall in line with everything we say and believe, you are a threat to our Democracy, even though this very statement arrogantly ignores the fundamental Democratic Principles of Freedom of Speech and Conscience. Ugh!
