This past Tuesday Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari posted a threatening Tweet condemning the young people in the southeast region of his country who had taken to attacking police stations and various government buildings. Twitter, claiming that the Tweet violated its policy on abusive behavior, decided to delete it. Buhari decided to delete Twitter, suspending its availability within Nigeria “indefinitely.”
Twitter’s response was at once idiotic, hypocritical and depressing, the latter because it suggests there’s simply no way of reasoning with the woke Left. “Access to the free and Open Internet,” it self-righteously declared, “is an essential human right in modern society.”
The only positive I can take from this affair is that it is possible for an utter simpleton [i.e., Jack Dorsey] to become a multi-millionaire. This surely must be comforting to simpletons around the world!
How can a company which has “cancelled” so many “conservatives” using the absurdly arbitrary charge of “hate speech,” then go on to condemn a regime by which it has been “cancelled” by arguing that Free Speech is an inalienable Human Right?
How stupid are these people?????
