Of course it is no surprise at all, but the recent testimony of former CBC host Travis Dhanraj before a parliamentary committee, validated what any person of common sense ought to have known all along. The CBC is Canada’s National Broadcaster funded by taxpayers who have every right to expect an honest, unbiased appraisal of the news. Dhanraj joined the network in 2021 and became host of a show called Canada Tonight which he suddenly left in 2025. On Mar. 10 he explained why.
Claiming he was hired as a token Brown Guy expected to always side with the Left, Dhanraj testified that his various efforts to interview Conservatives were always rejected by his superiors. This included even Pierre Poilievre, the head of Canada’s Conservative Party. His opinions were simply not welcome on the CBC! Most conspicuous of all, said Dhanraj, was the absolute loathing for the Freedom Convoy evident among those who reported on it throughout 2022. There was simply no chance that anything positive would make it to air on the CBC regarding this truckers’ protest which seemed to entail some legitimate grievances against the Trudeau Government’s abuse of its authority. No, no, no, not on the CBC!
According to Kathryn Marshall, Dhanraj’s lawyer, several other CBC employees appear willing to attest to the legitimacy of his claims, claims which would seem to justify simply cancelling the network. Why should the dollars of millions of Canadian Conservatives go to a venue which does nothing but revile their views? In response to this assertion, of course, “liberals” will point out the obvious “biases” of The National Post and Rebel News here in Canada as well as networks such as Fox in the U.S.. But each of these is quite open in their opposition to the mainstream narrative of our era, quite open in defending what they maintain are their perfectly rational “conservative” values. The hypocrisy of the CBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc., on the other hand, is that they pretend to be reporting nothing but the Truth, while in fact being consumed by political Bias.
Hence the absurdity of the mainstream American media’s scorn for Donald Trump’s belief that the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen from him, even as it was they, in their repression of things such as the Hunter Biden laptop story, who were responsible for that Theft! Once again, truly Absurd!
