On Oct. 7, The Rebel’s David Menzies attended a vigil at the U. of Toronto in memory of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel which saw the murder of approximately 1200 innocent Israeli citizens. Astoundingly, a good portion of the gathered students were there not to commemorate the victims of this atrocity but rather the valor of those who performed it. Yes, they were celebrating the heroics of the terrorist organization, Hamas.
While Menzies would have preferred to confront those students chanting their anti-Israeli slogans, he chose not to do so inasmuch as he had been arrested 5 times in 2024 for failing to accede to the tolerance displayed by the police overseeing such events. Yes, Canada’s police stood by inactive as multiple U. of T. students celebrated their anti-Semitism. The lesson of this scenario, the Rebel implies, is that Inclusiveness is a morally bankrupt perspective which renders the Left’s so-called “progressivism” utterly absurd! Common sense, I believe, unequivocally supports this assertion!
