Mike Zeroh is a podcaster whose focus is Hollywood and the Pop Culture in general. A couple of weeks ago he discussed the outrage of the ladies of The View whose ratings had recently fallen to an all-time low. Their mockery of America’s July 4th celebrations and the Trump administration in general, were thought by many to be the cause of this decline. Whoopi and Sunny, however, passionately insisted that it was the lies spewed by Trump and his followers that were responsible for creating doubt about the unequivocal truths upon which their “views” were based!
Simple Fact: The leftist narrative which sees the gap between the Rich and the Poor as the product of Privilege and Oppression rather than Merit, Achievement and Hard Work, is a Fiction rife with gross Exaggerations and Distortions! The Systemic Racism reviled by “intellectual” Ibram X. Kendi is born of his refusal to actually consider the quality of the Cultural Norms defended in most White, Western Nations. He simply dismisses them as the biased constructs of one particular race. His perspective, in other words, is inherently Racist! Ironically, it is rooted in what is known as Post Modernism, a doctrine espoused by many of today’s “intellectuals” who seem to believe that all human values are of mere relative merit. It is this absurd concept that has made meaningful dialogue between the Left and the Right virtually impossible. When Conservatives defend the unequivocal Rationality of their viewpoint, they are told that Reason is but an eccentricity of White, Post-Enlightenment Man. Hence the ludicrous Unreason of the Left’s decision to make career-criminal George Floyd a hero of its “progressive” revolution!
Whoopi, accused of being a Propagandist by some, insists she merely states the Facts and does not see herself as a political advocate. Sunny, in response to charges that she is a brazen liar, says she could not live with herself if that were true. Yet while both ladies are no doubt sincere in their declarations, they do in fact spread propagandist half truths on a regular basis because the Leftist perspective from which they view the world is utterly corrupt. The convenient Relativism that informs Kendi’s definition of Systemic Racism, is utterly corrupt. It literally makes any comment flattering to the achievements of Western Civilization, no more than an ugly example of White Supremacy!
I wonder if the ladies of The View have ever discussed that it was Black Africans who were selling their own people into slavery 300 years ago? I wonder if they have ever celebrated the Brits for banishing slavery from their domain early in the 19th C., while it continued to infect much of Asia and Africa? No doubt they have reviled America for tolerating slavery in its early days, while probably making very little of the brutal Civil War it was to fight 80 years later.
The notion of Systemic Racism, which makes defending the traditional Norms and Values of any Western Democracy an act of Hatred, literally incites Racism amongst Non-Whites. Gee, is it possible the majority of 2020’s BLM demonstrators were in fact racists? Might there be traces of such amongst the ladies of The View? And is it not likely that their ratings have plunged because Americans are simply fed up with the never-ending river of biased, simplistic drivel they have been spewing for years?
