In re-watching a PBS special on William F. Buckley, I was reminded of his very interesting 1965 debate at Cambridge U. with Black author/literary critic James Baldwin. Buckley [1925-2008] was a brilliant, articulate political commentator generally deemed integral to the evolution of contemporary conservatism. Yet while I have always admired him as such, I was …

In a May 12 interview with Stanley Staley of The Hub, Simon Wolle of B’nai Brith Canada lamented the radical rise of anti-Semitic violence in the country over the last few years. Since 2022, he asserts, there has been a 145% increase in such incidents, led by the 6800 that occurred in 2025. B’nai Brith …

On April 29, the Supreme Court ruled against such tactics. As it is generally assumed the majority of Blacks will vote Democrat, the redistricting was …

In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s Sept. 10, 2025 assassination, Mike Gallagher of Salem News discussed the legitimacy of Pam Bondi’s belief that “hate speech” needs to be criminalized. While she is a Republican, Gallagher says, most Republicans believe in Free Speech and do not agree with her. Charlie Kirk himself, he points out, would …
Having just re-watched a couple of interviews between Canada’s Jordan Peterson and Douglas Murray, I was reminded of the incomparable relevance of the latter’s 2022 best seller “The War on the West” to the contemporary political debate. Subtitled “How to Prevail in the Age of Unreason,” the book is not being taught in the universities …
