On July 25, Christian-American singer Sean Feucht performed at a Montreal church only to be confronted by multiple protesters and, ultimately, a smoke bomb launched in his direction. Absurdly, responses to the incident have included a decision by local authorities to fine the church in question for not getting the proper authorization to hold the concert, as well as the cancellation of at least 6 other scheduled Feucht performances due to “safety ” concerns.
As protesters averse to Feucht’s views on LGBTQ rights and Abortion screamed from across the street, the police stood by and did nothing. More distressing, however, is the fact that subsequent official reaction to the event suggests it was Feucht who was responsible for the day’s violence. Yes, the refusal of various “progressive” municipalities to supply the necessary police protection to Christian celebrations, is implicit with the belief that Christians have no right to their beliefs, indeed is implicit with disdain for the very Principle of Freedom of Speech. This should hardly come as a surprise to readers of this blog which has consistently sought to highlight the ironic authoritarianism of the “liberal” Left. Coincidentally, America’s Blaze News Network today, July 30, published a piece focusing on the harsh sentences hanging over Canadians Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, the subjects of my last blog, neither of whim did anything so violent as to toss a smoke bomb in anyone’s direction.
The Blaze article cites the term “anarcho-tyranny” in attempting to expose the absurdity of the Left’s tendency to exonerate criminals who act on behalf of their beliefs, while mindlessly destroying the lives of anyone who dares challenge their authority. Hence Sean Feucht’s banishment from performing in “liberal” Canada, and the possibility that Tamara Lich and Chris Barber may each spend almost a decade behind bars for simply daring to challenge their Dictator, Justine Trudeau!
