In an article concerning violent crime in Washington D.C., Blaze News today exposed the duplicity of those Leftist politicians and their media minions who claimed that violent crime was statistically down in the city. The numbers cited to validate this lie, The Blaze revealed, were born of the fact that D.C.’s authorities recently reclassified various crimes formerly deemed violent, to more or less the status of misdemeanours. Carjackings, for example, of which there have already been 200 this year, are no longer listed among the serious criminal acts devastating the city. The statistics cited by the Left, in other words, are relatively meaningless.
In announcing his intent to reinforce the rule of law in Washington, D.C., Trump insisted the city has a higher crime rate than any of the 50 states. The Blaze article in fact asserted that its homicide rate of 27.54 persons per 100,000 surpassed that of cities such as Havana and Islamabad. However inexact such statistics may be, it seems self-evident that Trump’s intrusion into the affairs of D.C.’s police could do nothing but improve the welfare of the city’s people, both Black and White. I realize I am echoing the content of my last blog, but Dinesh D’Souza’s contention that the Left only prioritizes the Rule of Law when it suits its political purposes, is eminently obvious in its willingness to manipulate D.C.’s crime statistics out of sheer hatred for Donald Trump. To hell with the safety of those who are afraid to walk the streets at night for fear of being mugged! To hell with those obsessed that their car may be the next to be hijacked! Trump must go and that’s all that matters!
