The following is not the ranting of some far right fanatic, but a matter of simple common sense!
New York city’s newly elected mayor is a Socialist who has openly admitted his desire to “seize the means of production.” He clearly loathes the Capitalist principles which have been the very backbone of America’s economy. In his victory speech the other night, he proudly declared there are no problems too large for governments to solve and indeed none too small for them to ignore. No doubt moved by his good intentions, those who voted for him don’t seem to realize that they in fact voted for inevitable restrictions on their Personal Freedoms, indeed voted for a concerted attack upon American Democracy itself.
Leftist “solutions” to human “inequities” are rooted in Materialistic Determinism, the simplistic belief that all disparities in the human condition are determined by External Circumstances and have little to do with the Intelligence or Character of those under consideration. The “solutions” imposed by those such as Mandami, therefore, entail the imposition of arbitrary criteria which utterly ignore the realities of the human condition. The notion that because 50% of the species is born with a Vagina, 50% of every board of governors must therefore be Female, is grossly simplistic. Yet anyone who disagrees with programs designed to assure such statistical “equity” will, in a world run by those such as Mandami, inevitably be denounced, “cancelled,” or indeed imprisoned. To be perfectly clear, no decent human being ought to resent programs designed to assist those born into truly difficult situations, but that is entirely different from the Ideological Belief that failures to meet the D.E.I. expectations of the Left are always somehow rooted in the vile oppression of the “privileged.”
In keeping with his Socialist beliefs, Mandami is proposing various free services for the “underprivileged.” That America’s deficit is already out of control is apparently irrelevant. That there are dire repercussions to such deficits is something the “compassionate” Left simply chooses to ignore. That the taxes collected to finance “free services” will depend heavily upon the profitability of America’s Capitalist entrepreneurs, is an irony lost on those who hate Capitalism!
As reported by Larry Elder recently, Mandami is an anti-Semite who sees Israel’s attacks on its Arab neighbours as genocidal in intent. That Hamas and other groups have openly expressed their desire to obliterate Israel is apparently irrelevant. That it was the victim of a heinous, unprovoked attack on Oct. 7, 2023, also irrelevant. I have seen multiple interviews with Arabs/Muslims living within Israel who have celebrated its status as a Liberal Democracy in which they are treated like every other citizen. As Mandami is an Indian Muslim born in Uganda, could it be that his loathing for Israel is rooted in Racism and Religious Bigotry? In proffering this opinion, of course, I will be accused of the very same vices. But the simple fact is that the people of New York have elected an individual who stands against almost every Principle upon which the U.S. was founded.
Not surprisingly, as an immigrant himself, Mandami fully supports the “rights” of immigrants who have entered the States illegally. Respect for the Rule of Law is apparently but a White, Western eccentricity, as is the notion of the Nation State. That this open-armed invitation to the rest of the world to come and feast on the benefits of American Citizenship must inevitably lead to exploding deficits, increased crime, and a radical decline in the standard of living of millions of Americans, is again of no concern to Mandami. And yet the voters of New York City have chosen him as their Mayor. Truly Absurd!
