[I have not posted for several days due to serious computer issues. Hopefully those issues are now behind me.]
Having recently re-read a Blaze article of Dec. 7, 2025, concerning a research project mandated by the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, I could not help but focus once again on the fact that contemporary “progressivism” deems respect for Human Intelligence to be but a White, Western Bias. It is an “inclusive” tenet that literally validates ignorance and superstition! Typical of such “logic” is the contention of the Minnesota University’s “intellectuals” that institutions such as the Family are really no more than arbitrary, Western, Social Constructs. Such judgements are born of what is called Critical Race Theory which ignores the intellectual and moral quality of the issues in question and judges them in purely racial terms. Critical Race theory is in essence an expression of Anti-White Racism! Hence the conclusion of many “intellectuals” that America is presently suffering from a “Whiteness Pandemic.”
As I stated in my recent blog on Charlie Kirk, he saw Rational Debate rather than ill-examined feelings of Resentment, as the only answer to the political strife presently tearing America apart. Indeed in the Epoch Times film upon which I based that blog, he cites the absurd delusions which have come to shape the contemporary Left and its multitudes of “intellectual” supporters. Post Modernism, he says, is at the heart of this cultural decline, its fundamental precept being that of Moral/Intellectual Relativism, the notion that all Truths and Values are of merely relative merit. Rational Conservatives, the implication is, are simply arrogant in their assumption that there is such a thing as Objective Reality, that some things are indeed undeniably True. Post-Modernism, as Charlie points out, morphs quite naturally into Critical Race Theory.
But what if millions do not buy this nonsense, do not accept, for example, that Western European Culture was never any more evolved than that of the Indigenous of the Americas? Coercion, it seems, is the only answer. Hence the third aspect of Kirk’s denunciation of the Left, its Neo-Marxist assumption that Governments have the right to legislate the ideas of their citizens. It is an assumption that is Definitively Anti-Democratic, that manifests itself in the pervasive belief on the Left that it has the right to Cancel the opinions of all those who do not fall in line with its Ideology.
In denouncing the Relativism of the Post-Modernists, no one is suggesting the Truth is always obvious and inarguable. But it is a Humanistic faith in Man’s capacity for Reason that feeds Conservatism’s belief in Free and Open debate as the key to genuine Human Progress. It is this and not Hatred that led Charlie Kirk to denounce Critical Race Theory. That the Left invariably resorts to charges of Hatred, is due to the fact that it has literally eliminated the impact of Reason and Intelligence from its Neo-Marxist vision of History!
