As reported by The Blaze on Feb. 26, Glenn Beck responded to Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address with the following comment: “There was no moment in presidential history in my lifetime that was as strong as Reagan’s ‘Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall’ —- until last night.”
What Beck invokes is the moment when Mr. Trump challenged his audience of assembled Democrats and Republicans with the following: “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” Not a single Democrat stood up in response to his challenge!!!
While I am in no way demonizing all illegal aliens, some of whom no doubt entered the States in an attempt to escape horrific conditions, the government of a Democracy by definition owes its primary loyalty to those who elected it, those who finance its initiatives, indeed those who supposedly share its values. Yet no Democrat was willing to stand in response to Trump’s challenge? Aside from their loathing of Trump, which ought to have nothing to do with the Principle he was endorsing, why would Democrats refuse to acknowledge that their fundamental loyalty ought to be to the U.S. Electorate? Was there not something brazenly anti-Democratic motivating their inertia?
The Neo-Marxist Ideology of the contemporary Left is inherently anti- Democratic. As it reduces the Human Condition to a matter of Oppressors and their Victims, it naturally inspires scorn for the most evolved Civilization in all of History, White, Western Civilization! Free Enterprise [i.e., Capitalism] for example, is not apparently designed to unleash Man’s capacity for ingenuity and hard work, but is simply a scam whereby the Rich can oppress the Poor. In the same way, all Men are implicitly Misogynistic, all Whites implicitly Racist, all Straights implicitly Homophobic, etc., etc., etc.. When Donald Trump asked the Democrats in his audience to stand out of respect for the law-abiding citizens of America, he was asking them to celebrate the “privileged” demographic they so abhor. Hence N.Y. City’s election of Zohran Mamdani as its Mayor, an election that clearly indicates the Left has lost its mind. Hence an inane definition of Democracy that grants governments the autocratic right to “cancel” opinions with which it does not agree! Such is the absurd condition of the contemporary Western world!
