On April 27, Glenn Beck of The Blaze lamented the horrid increase in death threats against conservatives lodged by those of the supposedly progressive Left. On April 14, he pointed out, Erika Kirk, widow of the recently assassinated Charlie, was forced to cancel a public speaking engagement in Athens, Georgia due to threats upon her own life. Just a few days later, Beck reveals, former Blaze reporter Savanah Hernandez was viciously attacked by anti-Ice fanatics as she sought to report on their activities in Minneapolis. Wryly attempting to make the point that the contemporary Left incites violence against conservatives on an almost daily basis, he reveals that the first threat launched on his life had occurred in 2007!
It is generally accepted that politically motivated violence in the U.S. is more or less perpetrated equally by those on the Left and Right. Many, of course, focus on right-wing fanaticism as the far greater danger. But a May 4 article posted by Not The Bee offers some truly disturbing insights on this subject. Peter Heck begins by citing examples of Leftist insanity such as the 2017 assault on a congressional baseball game in Virginia in which the assailant was clearly intent on killing its Republican participants. The most significant aspect of his post, however, is his inclusion of an interview conducted by News Nation with journalist/ author Batya Ungar-Sargon who says the notion that “both sides” are equally guilty of inciting violence in the U.S. is utter nonsense.
Many of the sources upon which the mainstream media bases its editorials are, according to Ungar-Sargon, ridiculously biased. The Prosecution Project, for example, a data base affiliated with the U. of Cincinnati which purports to identify the source of all political violence within the U.S., has failed to include the 3 attempts on Trump’s life and the assassination of Charlie Kirk as acts of political violence. At the same time, the 24 deaths caused by the 2020/21 riots led by Black Lives Matter are not, apparently, worthy of inclusion in its statistics. Absurdly, however, the criminality of 33 White drug dealers is cited as just another example of White Supremacism! Such is the B.S. with which we must deal!
We live in a world dominated by a simplistic ideological bias and those of us capable transcending that inanity must courageously assert our allegiance to our Conservative Values! It’s not hatred that inspires us but Reason!
