Yes, Racism has been a factor in the evolution of America, though the nation’s commitment to Reason and Freedom of Speech has predictably led it to eradicate that cancer over the centuries. Am I suggesting there are no more White Racists presently living in the States? Of course not. We are an imperfect species.
Many on the Left no doubt see Black Conservatives as traitors to their race, as impediments to Social Justice. The conservatives to whom I am referring, however, see DEI mandates, the granting of various benefits to people of Color based on injustices committed decades if not centuries ago, as fundamentally Unjust, as violations of the Principle that as Intelligent-Moral Beings we are all to a significant extent responsible for the arc of our lives. This Principle, of course, is utterly incompatible with the Marxist belief that we are mere animals helpless before the deterministic factors of our environment.
Yes, the crime rate among Blacks born into poverty in various urban centers is high. But at the same time millions plagued by the same conditions have worked hard, excelled, and now live lives blessed with material comfort if not utter luxury! Candace Owens, Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Ben Carson, etc., are not traitors to their Race but champions of the conservative belief in Personal Responsibility! It is the Left’s simplistic dismissal of this Existential Fact that has led to our Culture of Entitlement, to ever increasing criminality, indeed to the possible Decline of the Western World.
Upon George Floyd’s death in 2020, Candace Owens immediately exposed the horrors of his criminal past. She was outraged that Black Lives Matter was allowed to riot into 2021 on behalf of this truly degenerate human being. Her commitment to Human Morality rather than the Color of her Skin, was truly wonderful!
